Type, Design & LayoutWhen you are designing your book, remember that size does matter. There are a number of “industry standard” book sizes. By and large, they are the sized to fit best on a press sheet. They are also what fit best on a book store shelf.
Book templates (MS Word) are available for all the standard sizes. These are easily downloaded and simple to use. What is good is that they include placeholders for most of the components you might want to have in your book.
Of course you may select a non-standard size. It will cost you more. You may also wish to consider that a larger trim size will also cost more, given the same page count. |
